In 2010, computers were in 93% of households in Iceland, and 92% of households had internet connection. Approximately 60% of households had more than one computer, and 54% had flat screen television sets. The use of computers and internet by individuals is widespread, with 96% of the population, in the age range of 16-74 year olds. Approximately a quarter of internet users connects to the internet outside of their homes and workplaces using mobile phones with a 3G system and 70% use social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter.
