The CPI in April 2009 rose by 0.45% from the preceding month (0.84% less housing cost). Over the last 12 months the CPI rose by 11.9% (CPI less housing cost rose by 15.6%) while the change over the last 3 months is equivalent to an annual inflation of 1.4% (9.4% inflation less housing cost). In Iceland, the HICP rose by 0.15% in March and by 0.4% in the EEA.
