The number of persons in the labour force in the 2nd quarter of 2013 was 188,300 which correspond to an activity rate of 83.3%. The number of employed persons was 175,500 and unemployed persons were 12,900. The employment rate was 77.6% and the unemployment rate was 6.8%. From the 2nd quarter of 2012 the number of employed persons increased by 3,300 and the number of unemployed persons decreased by 400. The unemployment rate among females was 6.2% and 7.4% among males.
