The number of persons in the labour force in the 2nd quarter of 2012 was 185,400 which correspond to an activity rate of 82.8%. The number of employed persons was 172,100 and unemployed persons were 13,300. The employment rate was 76.9% and the unemployment rate was 7.2%. The number employed increased by 2,200 and number of unemployed decreased by 2,500 from the 2nd quarter of 2011. The unemployment rate in the capital region was 8% and 5.6% in other regions.
