The total amount of imported raw material for fish processing in the year 2003 was 224,851 tonnes, an increase of 64,138 tonnes (39.9%) from the year 2002. The value of this import on the other hand decreased by 4.9% in 2003, from ISK 5.9 billion in 2002 to ISK 5.6 billion in 2003.
