Export and export production of marine products 2012

In 2012 the export production of marine products amounted to ISK 277 billion and increased in value by 7.9% from previous year, 5.4% at constant prices. Export of marine products amounted to 749 thousand tonnes and the total value amounted to ISK 269 billions. The export increased in quantity by 11.3%, and in value by 6.8%. Frozen products generated 53% of the value of exported marine products, but the highest export revenues were from whole frozen mackerel.
