Export and export production of marine products 2009

In 2009 the export production of marine products amounted to ISK 200 billion and increased by 10.9% from previous year. Export of marine products amounted to 669 thousand tonnes and the total value amounted to ISK 208 billions. The export decreased in quantity by 4%, but increased in value by 21.4%. Frozen products generated about half of the value of exported marine products, but the highest export revenues were from uncured salted cod.
