In Iceland there are 4,352 individuals born in 1982. The educational history and graduations of this cohort is examined in the Statistics Iceland student register and the register of graduations until the year 2006. In 2006 this cohort is 24 years old. The results show that in 2006 62.1% of the age cohort had graduated from some programme of study in Iceland. Most had completed matriculation examination, which grants admission to university.
