Growth in the Icelandic economy has moderated since peaking in 2016 but last year Iceland’s GDP grew by 3.6%. The outlook is similar to the one presented in February with GDP growing by 2.9% for this year and an average growth rate of around 2.6% in the remaining years. Growth will mostly be driven by private consumption, investment and to a lesser extent, public consumption.
