Taxable payments in January 2025

The total sum of taxable wages in January increased by 9.5% between years. There was, however, decrease between months from December 2024 to January 2025 by 6.6%. The total sum of taxable wages in January was about 167.0 billion ISK. The number of employees was about 205,900 and the number of employers about 21,000. Note that the data have not been adjusted for inflation.
