Total meat production in September 2024 was 5,446 tonnes according to preliminary figures, 2% less than in September 2023. Pork production increased by 17% while polutry production was the same and beef production decreased by 2%. Data on sheep slaugtherings are incomplete and therefore not comparable. Hatching of poultry chicks for meat production was 481,858 heads which is 5% less than in September 2023.
